Beginning on Tuesday, June 28, at 9 a.m., the railroad crossing at Semmes St. and Southern Ave. will be closed to through traffic to allow the contractor to perform work on the railroad. This closure will be in effect until around 4 p.m. the same day.
Motorists who normally use Semmes St. to get to Southern Ave. are advised to use an alternate route during the duration of the closure.
The signed detour route will make use of Southern Avenue, Highland Street, Josephine Street, and Spottswood Avenue.
